I have no idea where the year went, but somehow it’s winter yet again. You know what that means… at least three solid months curled up by the fire with a book, a hot beverage, and at least one cozy blanket.
I have a special project in mind for this winter. Remember those reading challenges way back in the day? You’d get a list—sometimes even with a theme—and get to choose to read books from that list? If you were lucky, it was almost like reading bingo and you could win a prize!
Or was that just something I imagined?
Anyway, I thought it would be a fun little adventure to do a winter-themed book challenge, and since I couldn’t find one on Pinterest or anywhere else that I liked, I went ahead and made my own.
Voila!
Look at that beauty! Now, who’s with me?
How does it work? Simple. Think Bingo. You have to read a book that fits into each category in such a way that you would get five squares in a row, column, or diagonal with or without the free space at the center. You can also go for four corners, or for the ambitious (like yours truly) you can go for a full blackout.
What’s the timeframe? December 1st to February 28th. Three solid, frigid months.
What do you win? Bragging rights, of course!
You want more rules? Make them yourself (and let me know in the comments). Personally, I’m going to shoot for a different book for each category because I love a challenge. But you do you!
And for the love of hot chocolate, please comment on your winter reads! You might have the key to someone else’s bingo!
I plan on checking in every few weeks with my progress plus any recommendations.
Happy reading!
